Wallace G. Schrenkel, Jr., 60, Enjoyed Bowling
Wallace G. Wally Schrenkel, Jr., age 60, of Lorain, passed away at Mercy New Life Hospice on the morning of Monday October 18, 2021 following a brief illness.Born in Lorain on February 5, 1961, he had been a life-long resident of the city. Wally attended Murray Ridge School and subsequently worked as a production assistant at the Lorain Occupational and Vocational Center.
In his free time he enjoyed bowling and testing his luck with the slot machines while on casino junkets. Wally also enjoyed dining out and displayed a special love for both steak and spaghetti.
He is survived by sisters Cheryl Farsetti, and Sharon Flores (Pedro) both of Lorain, Shelley Engelhardt (Richard) of Stow, and brother James Schrenkel (Erica) of Lorain. He also leaves ten nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
Wally was preceded in death by his father Wallace G. Schrenkel, Sr. in 2005, mother Helen Shirley Schrenkel (nee Glover) in 2016, and niece Kelly Farsetti in 1973.
Friends may call on Tuesday October 19th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Reverend John R. Jackson, MAPC Chaplain for Mercy New Life Hospice presiding. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
