Joyce L. Axford, 59, Loved Caring for Others

She was born in Elyria and had resided most of her life in Grafton.

Joyce loved caring for others and worked as a medical assistant at Murray Ridge group homes for over 10 years. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, camping and was the family organizer being the one to organize many of her families get togethers. She also loved caring for her animals.

Survivors include six brothers, Clyde of Vermilion, Chuck of Grafton, Larry (Lori) of Shepherdsville, KY, Gary (Ginny) of Elyria Twp. Jim of Elyria, Russell (Erica) Axford of Spencer; four sisters, Kathleen Setliff of Prospect Hills, NC, Lila (Mike) Gray of Ashland, Helen (Robert) Thompson of Medina, Sally (Dave) Thacker of North Ridgeville and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by father, Charles Axford, mother, Lila (nee Hamlin) Axford, brothers, John, Mark and his wife Lisa Axford, brother-in-law, Jerry Setliff, sister-in-law, Judy Axford.

The family will receive friends Saturday December 4, 2021 from 3 PM until time of Memorial Service at 4 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. (Masks are required) Rev Chuck Behrens will officiate. Services will be Live Streamed on Bogner Family Funeral Home Facebook page.

Private interment will take place in LaPorte Cemetery.
