Julie Bransztet, 98, Had a Passion for Cooking, Baking, and Gardening
Julie Jay Bransztet (nee Barbuscak), age 98, born May 25, 1923, passed away at home surrounded by her family on the after of Sunday December 5, 2021.Jay was born in Wilpen, PA to George and Mary Barbuscak. She married her partner in life, Paul Bransztet on February 15, 1947, and the two spent 74 years together. Beyond the love of her family, Jay had a passion for cooking, baking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Jayne and Paul Jr.; and her granddaughter, Kimberly (Christopher).
Jay was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary (nee Mrosko) Barbuscak, her sisters Ann Tishko, Mary Deliman, Katherine Kay Haller, and brothers Joseph and Michael Barbusck.
The family will receive visitors in St. Peter Parish - 3501 Oberlin Avenue on Thursday, December 9th beginning at 11 a.m. All attendees are requested to wear facial coverings and to observe social distancing protocol. The Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Craig Hovanec presiding. Burial will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery.
