Randi M. Leighty, 68, Known for her Outgoing and Bubbly Personality

She was born January 19, 1953 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident.
Randi graduated from the first Southview High School graduating class in 1971. She worked for many years at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center in medical records retiring in 2019.
Randi was known for her outgoing and bubbly personality and easily made forever friends. She was Mom to her daughter Ashley’s friends, was loyal to her friends and always had their back. She enjoyed meeting with her friends from one of her first job’s at Woolworth’s, the Woolworth Girls, for dinner and drinks. She was an animal lover and had many pets.
She is survived by her daughter Ashley Leighty of Lorain, siblings: Candy McDoniel of Avon Lake, Eugene Leighty of Elyria, Sandy Brown of Lorain and Russ Leighty (Sue) of Louisville, Kentucky; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her cat Jimmy and dog Milo. She was preceded in death by her brother James Leighty and parents Alfred J & Mary Ellen Leighty (nee Glass).
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain.
