He was born July 10, 1961, in Lorain, Ohio. Charles was a 1980 graduate from Clearview High School, where he was a member of the 1978 and 1979 State Championship Track Team, as well as the 1979 State Championship Football Team. Charles enjoyed all things sports. Charles participated in adult softball, with many friends and family, including his father, Charles Sr., and brothers. He also participated in adult football, including playing for the famous Rosie’s Pizza among many other teams. Charles, along with his wife Susan, were constant supporters at their children’s sporting events, during high school and college. Once his own children’s sports careers ended, his support did not end. If you have ever attended a high school sporting event in Lorain, Charles greeted you with a smile. For over 20 years, Charles constantly volunteered and worked at Lorain City School Athletic events.

In 2009, Charles received a new life by receiving a pancreas and kidney transplant. When he was not enjoying his sporting events, you could find Charles behind the grill, hosting cookouts for family and friends, alike.
