Dolores M. Resendez, 91, Loved Traveling

She was born June 1, 1930 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Lola graduated from Lorain High School. She worked as a benefits representative for the Social Security Administration office in Lorain retiring after 32 years.
She was a member of St Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Lorain, the Guadalupe Society of the church, the American Businesswomen’s Association, the Lorain Democratic Women’s Club and the Mexican American Citizens Club.
Lola was a people person who loved traveling and had helped organize bus trips to casinos and other destinations. Family meant everything to her.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Rezaian (Khalil), son Rich Resendez (Lori); grandchildren: Kristi Dubinsky (Michael), Camille Dowe (Gerald), Tony Resendez (Haley), Michelle Hetzner (Travis) and Corey Resendez (Julie); great-grandchildren: Ben Dubinsky, Noah Dubinsky, Grace Resendez, Jude Resendez, Harper Hetzner, Jaxon Dowe and Alaina Dowe. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Lilo P. Resendez on April 20, 2018 and parents Anacleto Mingo & Margaret Razo (nee Sakal).
The family will receive friends Saturday January 8, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am at St Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Dr in Lorain. The mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in the church with the Rev Neil Walters, pastor, presiding. The family asks that all attendees wear masks. Cremation will follow and her ashes will be buried at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain in a private ceremony.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St Jude Children’s Hospital.
