Norma Michalski, 69, Will Be Deeply Missed

She was born on August 9, 1952 in Lares, Puerto Rico and moved to Ohio as a child with her parents and other siblings in 1955. Norma graduated from Southview High School as part of their first graduating class in 1971.
Norma was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain and of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Lorain. She was a member of the Cursillo Movement, a third order Franciscan and a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Norma was employed as a secretary and assistant at various Catholic schools in Lorain and Elyria.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Norman Michalski, sons Anthony Edward Melendez of Sandusky, Michael Robert (Evelyn) Melendez, and Joseph Daniel (Karen) Melendez of Elyria and Adrian (Chrissy) Melendez of Lorain; her siblings, Maria (Mickey) Maldonado of Amherst, Fabio (Archie) Perez and Adalberto (Tito) Perez of Florida, Wilma Cortez of Wakeman, Juan Perez, Joe Perez and Evelyn Arocho of Lorain, Jesus (Cholo) Perez of Wakeman and Luis Perez of Cleveland; grandchildren Michael, Adrian, Joseph, Daniel, Brayden and Elena Melendez, Savien and Aliyah Amador and Alicia Vasquez. great grandchildren Amiley, Amelia and Ameira Vasquez, Savien Amador Jr. and Rolando Carter.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Fabio and Maria (née Rodriguez) Perez and many uncles, aunts and two nephews, Christopher Maldonado and David Perez Jr.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, Ohio, 44055 and again on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 8:30 until 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by, Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor of St. Vitus Church in Cleveland, assisted by Deacon Rev. Mr. Lou Maldonado. Masks are required. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
Her family suggests contributions to the Sacred Heart Chapel Memorial Fund.
