Philip M. Kozlowski, 66, Avid Cleveland Sports Fan

Photo of Philip M. Kozlowski Philip M. Kozlowski, 66, of Sandusky, died Monday February 14, 2022 at University Hospital in Cleveland after a courageous battle with throat cancer.

He was born December 4, 1955 in Lorain and had resided in Sandusky for over 30 years moving from Las Vegas.

Phil graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1974. He worked as a yardman at Lorain Builders Supply. Prior to that, he worked at the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant.

Phil played bass guitar and piano for the band Dupree. He had a love for blues music and the Beatles. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and Star Trek fan and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

He is survived by his son Justin Kozlowski, grandchildren Korbin & Jasmine, stepchildren Chad & Josh Coleman; brothers Mark Kozlowski and Matthew Kozlowski (Betty); sisters Cynthia Coleman (Lee) and Norma Kozlowski and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Vicki Kozlowski (nee Gwin) in 2019, son Aaron Kozlowski in 1986, stepson Jason Coleman in 1999, parents Peter J & Ruth A Kozlowski (nee Haas), brother Paul Kozlowski in 2017 and sister Sharon A. Kozlowski on January 8, 2022.

The family will receive friends Saturday February 19, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Lorain. Cremation will follow.
