Sandra J. Chapman, 71, Loved to Travel, Gamble, Bowl, and Play Golf
Sandra J. Chapman (nee Barlow), 71, of Lorain, died Thursday March 10, 2022 at her home.
She was born October 27, 1950 in Kingwood, West Virginia and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Sandy graduated from Lorain High School in 1968. She worked at Knights of Columbus Lorain Columbian Club for 43 years having been manager for the past 31 years.
She loved to travel, gamble, bowl and play golf and had a hole-in-one. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years Daniel Chapman, sons: Ted Smith and Mark Smith; sisters Denise Sanchez (James) and Diane Hannigan, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents George & Clara Barlow (nee Zuchowski) and brothers Georgie, Randy & Ricky Barlow.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Health Rehabilitation and Mercy New Life Hospice for the care that Sandy received during her illness.
A memorial service will be held Sunday March 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Knights of Columbus, 4720 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. A celebration of life will follow until 4:00 pm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Lorain.
