Robert J. Bastock Jr., 58, Enjoyed Going to Baseball Games with Family

He was born November 8, 1963 in Lorain and had resided in Lorain until 1998 before moving to Amherst.
Bobby loved the Chicago Cubs, the Cleveland Indians and going to games with his family whom he loved very much. His favorite pastime was crossword puzzles. Bobby played little league baseball and was a member of the undefeated 1975 Elks team who were Lorain city champions that year. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1982 where he was a member of the basketball team. He also played in a golf league for years and had a hole-in-one in 2000.
Bobby loved playing basketball and teaching his daughter Ashley how to play from the age of 2. He was her biggest fan and loved going to her games from her toddler days at the Y through her college years. He also would make her recite the lineup from the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers from the time she was 3 because you might need it to impress someone at a job interview some day. As a sports writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Bobby anxiously awaited the paper to read Ashley’s articles about the Cleveland Browns or Cavaliers. He couldn’t have been more proud.
One thing Bobby greatly missed these last 2 years was being able to go out to breakfast with his friends who would talk baseball all morning and just being able to see his friends. He was always the life of the party.
Bobby had worked at Metokote for 24 years where he had made many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Jacqueline Bastock (nee Feldkamp), daughter Ashley Bastock, brother Brian Bastock (Amy), brothers-in-law George Feldkamp & Bob Feldkamp, sister-in-law Cindy Tenorio-Feldkamp, nephew Zachary Feldkamp (Audrey), nieces Stephanie Bastock, Mary Feldkamp and Hope Tenorio, great niece Katherine Feldkamp, great nephew James Feldkamp and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert J Bastock Sr and Mary Bastock (nee Captain) and brother Michael Bastock.
