John D. Burnett, 78, Enjoyed Vegetable Gardening

Born in Crab Orchard, Tennessee he was a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 24 years moving from Grafton.
John worked as a tow motor operator for MTD in Cleveland for 36 years, retiring in 2003.
He enjoyed vegetable gardening, giving produce to his family and friends, fishing, hunting and loved animals, especially his dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, April (nee Thompson), daughter, Tina Leonard of Bedford, son, Willard Bill Burnett of Elyria, daughter, Charmaine Burnett and her fiance’ Terry Haas, of Sheffield Lake, son, Johnny Burnett of Elyria, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, twin brother, Joe Burnett of the Philippines and sister, Ida Gunter of New London.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Phillips in 2021, parents, Joe John and Ann Burnett, brother, Bob Burnett and sister, Wilma Hodge.
The family will receive friends Monday April 4 from 4-7 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where services will be held 10 AM Tuesday. Rev. Justin Brenenstuhl will officiate. Burial will follow in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
