Dolores Marie Tammaro, 89, Accomplished Artist

Born in Lorain on February 5, 1933, Dolores was a graduate of Lorain High School and a life-long resident of the city.
She had most recently been employed as a sales associate for the Ontario Department Store.
She was an accomplished artist who specialized in pencil sketches and oil painting in her earlier years. She also enjoyed collecting antiques, refinishing antique furniture and listening to HAM radio transmissions. Dolores was a lover of small animals, especially cats, and was well known for her willingness to feed the strays that visited her Sheffield Township property. Additional interests included classical music with a special fondness for the voice of Luciano Pavarotti. Undoubtedly, her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons Anthony who was her constant companion whenever she went somewhere buy automobile, along with Joseph, and Vincent, former husband Lucio Tammaro, and brother Robert Kritz, all of whom reside in Lorain.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Margaret (nee Akosi) Kritz (a.k.a. Kricz).
She will be buried adjacent to her parents during graveside services conducted in Calvary Cemetery.
Contributions in her memory are encouraged to The Friendship Animal Protective League 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel. To share your memories and condolences with Dolores’ family, please visit www.gluvna.net.
