Marilyn J. Lengyel, 91, Loved Cooking and Baking

She was born July 24, 1930 to Walter & Julia Pelz (nee Homa) in Cleveland. Her family moved to Parma and she graduated from Parma Schaaf High School. She worked in Cleveland and then moved to Lorain to raise her family.
Marilyn was a faithful woman who loved the Lord. She showed the love of God to everyone by the way she lived. An active member of Ss Peter & Paul Lutheran Church, she was part of the Ruth Naomi Ladies Altar Guild and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Church potluck dinners won’t be the same without her delicious potato salad.
Marilyn was a wonderful homemaker who showed her love through cooking and baking. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, friends and by sharing the love of our savior, Jesus Christ, with everyone. She was a devoted and loving mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind her children: Allan Lengyel, Mary Miller, Alex Lengyel Jr (Tamera) and Marilyn Lengyel; grandson Ryan Miller and many beloved members of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter & Julia Pelz (nee Homa); brother Walter Gardner, sister M. June Reblin, daughter-in-law Theresa T.J. Lengyel and son-in-law Glenn R. Miller.
The family will receive friends Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada-Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain.
