Mary Lou Lewton, 70, Loved Traveling

Photo of Mary Lou Lewton Mary Lou Lewton (nee Latosky), age 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully Friday May 13, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Cleveland, moving to North Ridgeville in 1990.

Mary Lou graduated from John Marshall High School, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from St. John College, Cleveland. She taught for 30 years at various catholic schools including St. Vincent De Paul, St. James and Holy Spirit Academy until retiring in 2014.

She loved traveling and going on adventures, gardening, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She found joy in connecting with others.

A member of St. Peter Parish, where she taught confirmation classes.

Survivors include four daughters, Laura (Nicholas) BeVier of Grafton, Susan (David) Hall of New Hope, Minnesota, Christine (Kevin) Layer of North Olmsted, Mary Beth (Mark Jr.) Taylor of Brunswick Hills, son David (Hannah) Lewton of Brookpark, 12 grandchildren, sister Bernadette (Richard) Talley of Seville, sister-in-law Bernice Latosky, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2018, parents, Anton and Irene Latosky and brothers, Jimmy and Stanley Latosky.

The family will receive friends, Thursday May 19, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 10:30 AM Friday followed by 11 AM Mass at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
