Constance M. Horosz, 83, Enjoyed Bowling and Traveling

Photo of Constance M. Horosz Constance M. “Connie” Horosz (nee Ksiazk), 83, of Amherst, died Friday May 27, 2022 at the Avenue at North Ridgeville.

She was born December 3, 1938 in Lorain, resided for many years in Amherst and then lived in Avon Lake since 2015.

Connie worked as a dispatcher for the Amherst Police Department for 25 years retiring in 1998.

She was a very active member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain where she served as president of the Altar & Rosary Society and attended many church functions.

In 2012, Connie and her grandson Kyle toured Poland & Hungary while he played the saxophone with the Cleveland Youth Symphony on their international tour to Europe.

She enjoyed bowling, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Jan O’Malley (Thomas) of Avon Lake, grandson Kyle O’Malley (fiancé Miranda Glover) of Avon, brothers: Ronald Ksiazk (Joyce) and Albert Ksiazk (Barbara) and sisters: Camille Kelsey (Donald-deceased), Melaine Sukey (Larry) and Jane Phillips (Jeffrey-deceased). She was preceded in death by her husband Steven Horosz, sons Thomas and James Horosz, parents James & Veronica Ksiazk (nee Stahelski) and brother Richard Ksiazk.

The family will receive friends Thursday June 2, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic, 1454 Lexington Ave, Lorain where the Altar & Rosary Society will pray the rosary Thursday at 10:30 am. The mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday at 11:00 am in the church. The Rev. Gerald Keller will preside. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain.
