Albert F. Rangus, 72, U.S. Army Veteran

He was born July 30, 1949 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain.

Albert graduated from Admiral King High School and was drafted into the US Army serving in Vietnam with the rank of SP4 in Company C 2nd Battalion 52nd Infantry 1st Armored Division. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Albert loved cars and enjoyed learning and talking about them. He also loved his Budweiser beer.

He is survived by his sister Elaine Peterson of Montana and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Katherine Rangus (nee Kata).

A private family service with military honors will be held at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
