David A. Minnich, 78, Loved Going on Hunting Trips

Photo of David A. Minnich David A. Minnich, age 78, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully Monday, July 4, 2022 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Elyria and grew up on the family farm in North Ridgeville where he spent most of his life.

David worked as a mechanic for Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake for over 30 years retiring in 2007 and also operated Minnich’s Lawn Care for over 25 years. He was known as the “Wood Man” selling firewood from his home for many years.

He loved spending time with his family and going on hunting trips with his son, grandsons, and hunting friends.

He attended First Baptist Church of Elyria.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carole (nee Searles), son, David Jr. (Sharron) of Nashville, daughter, Pamela (Dwayne Novarese) Minnich of North Ridgeville, grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Timmy, Amanda and Mikalah, great-grandchildren, Abbigail, James Lewis, Dale Jr., Seth, Maverick and Avalynn, brothers, Richard Mucha of Florida, Michael (Dottie) Minnich of Barnesville, two nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Minnich and mother, Marianna Mucha.

The family will receive friends Thursday July 7, 2022, from 5-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services 36625 Center Ridge Rd North Ridgeville where services will be held 11 AM Friday. Pastors David Berman and Patrick Odle will officiate.
