Caroll J. Uehlein, 76, Enjoyed Baking and Painting Ceramics

Photo of Caroll J. Uehlein Caroll J. Uehlein (nee Harper), age 76 of Lorain, passed away at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake during the early morning hours of Monday August 15, 2022.

Caroll was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania on February 6, 1946 and had been a long-time resident of Amherst.

She had most recently been employed as a production assistant at Western Enterprises in Elyria. Previously, she served as a customer care associate at the Hills Department Store located on Cleveland Street in Elyria.

Caroll attended the New Apostolic Church in Lorain. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family as well as baking, and painting ceramics.

She is survived by daughters Susan L. Miller (Jeffrey) and Patti Weaver (Donald) both of Lorain along with grandchildren Jason Miller, Brittney Sheffler, Samantha Weaver, Alexandra Weaver, and Elizabeth Weaver and great grandchildren Harrison Miller, Madilynn Miller, Addison Sheffler, Emerson Sheffler, and Harper Sheffler. She also leaves her brother John Harper (Darlene) of Dewittville, New York along with sister Grace Sturgell (Dave) of Lorain.

Caroll was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2017, father Homer Harper in 1989, mother Mary Jane Huffman (nee Callory), in 2007, step-father William Huffman in 2016, brother Robert Harper in 2007, and sister Judith Novak in 2006.

Friends may call Monday August 29th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be conducted privately for the family on the following day with Reverend Mark Telepak, Chaplain for Crossroads Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
