Raymond Costello, 74, Enjoyed Golfing and League Bowling

He was born February 6, 1948 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident.
Ray graduated from Lorain High School in 1966 and began working as an apprentice at Mader Machine in Lorain. He took vocational classes to become a journeyman machinist and worked at US Steel and Lorain Tubular before retiring.
Ray loved his family, enjoyed golfing, league bowling, exercising, walking and riding his bike to the lake every morning.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara Costello (nee Dailey); daughter Lynn Kovello of Amherst, son Jeffrey Costello (Cynthia) of Lorain; grandchildren: Collin Kopronica (Samantha), Hannah Kovello, Victoria Costello (fiancé Andrew Conrady) and Jacob Costello; 3 great grandchildren: Caidenn, Ronin and Ezra; brother Roy Costello (Brenda) of Vermilion and sisters: Karen Pinkerman of Kentucky and Louise Shopoff (Dan) of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his mother Esther Uleski (nee Coonrod).
The family will receive friends Thursday September 22, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services are private with burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
