Carmen P. Ortiz, 88, Enjoyed Taking Care of Her Family and Flower Decorating
Carmen P. Ortiz (nee Beltran), 88, of Lorain, died Wednesday October 26, 2022 at her home after a long illness.
She was born October 29, 1933 in Lares, Puerto Rico and had resided in Lorain for over 51 years.
Carmen was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain and enjoyed taking care of her family and flower decorating.
She is survived by her children: Pedro Ortiz Jr (Olga), Miguel Ortiz (Delores), Gerardo Ortiz, Victor Ortiz, Carmen Rodriguez (Angel), Maria Mercado and Jessica Ortiz; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sister Luisa Toledo. She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Ortiz Sr, son Jorge Ortiz, parents Virgil & Juanita Beltran (nee Molina) and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Friday October 28, 2022 from 8:30 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave, Lorain. The Rev William Thaden, pastor, will preside. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain.
