Lynda Sue Ochenas, 67, Enjoyed Socializing with Family and Friends

Born on June 12, 1955 to parents William "Mike" Johnson and Nina (née Jackson) Johnson.
The family moved to Lorain when she was young, a 1973 graduate of Lorain High. Lynda had a passion for educating children. She touched hundreds of students’ lives at St. Vincent de Paul School where she worked primarily as a kindergarten aide, among other roles, for more than 20 years and was dearly known as Mrs. O.
She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, shopping, reminiscing fond times while sitting on the porch, good music, and spent many hours volunteering for school functions and fundraisers.
Lynda is survived by her husband of 44 years, John Jr. A beloved mother to sons John III (SueAnn) and Gary. A proud grandmother of Maria and Monica. She is also survived by sisters Judy Shaw (Thomas), Joyce Johnson (Michael Darmafall) and nephews and nieces Michael (Maggie, Camden), Baylor and Matthew Shaw, (Emersyn, Anderson), Heidi (Alexander, Alexiana, Alexander Jr.) Cook. Unconditionally loved by dear friends, especially Rachel Booher and Sharon Sheehan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Sandra Sandy Haupt and William Dean Johnson.
Her family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2 to 6:00 PM. Closing prayers will be Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home then 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Road, Elyria. Concelebrated by Rev. Father Neil G. Walters, Administrator and Rev. Father Timothy W. Gareau. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
