Rossen Rosario, 76, Loved Family, Food, and Westerns

Photo of Rossen Rosario In loving memory of Rossen Rosario 76, of Lorain, who passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

On that day our family lost a father, uncle, grandfather and friend. Rossen was born March 13, 1946, to Agueda and Adelo Rosario in Guayama, Puerto Rico. He retired from Lorain Products.

Rossen is survived by his wife of 51 years Maria, daughter Samantha and the apple of his eye Amaya. He also leaves behind his brother Carlos, sister Alejita and sisters in law Lumi, Delia, Amelia, Cani, and Dorca as well as the many nieces and nephews he thought of with love.

Rossen was an active member of Sacred Heart Chapel. He was the part of the Cursillo Movement and volunteered for the annual church fiesta. His life is best summed up by the things he loved family, food and westerns. Rossen was happiest preparing meals for family gatherings and watching westerns such as Gunsmoke, Big Valley and Bonanza. If there are cowboys in heaven, he will be happy. We also know when we meet again the Pernil will be ready.

His family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164, Tuesday, January 3, 2022, from 3 PM until 7 PM. Friends may also call at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, Wednesday, January 4th from 9 until 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. The Rev. Fr. William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.

His family suggests contributions to the Sacred Heart Memorial Fund.
