Robert Blair Luzier II, 70, Enjoyed Music, Motorcycling, Sports, and Computers

Born in Elyria, OH on February 22, 1952 to Cynthia and Robert B. Luzier, he married his teenage sweetheart, Gloria (nee Lee), in 1971. In their fifty-one years together, they raised their children, Jeremy (spouse Jody) and Jessica (spouse Renzo Goly), and are proud grandparents to R.J., Rory, Jakob, and Annabella. Bob was the eldest of three children. His sister, Cindy Thompson is married to Chuck, and they have three children, Rob, Brent and Alle along with nine grandchildren. His Brother, Jeff, has two daughters, Carla and Samantha and three grandchildren.

Vocationally, Bob’s professions were multi-faceted. In the early years he enjoyed working as a heavy equipment operator. At the same time, he was active in music and youth ministry at his church, which ultimately led him into ministerial studies. He then went on to serve the Church in many capacities for twenty-one years, including Youth, Music, Associate, Administrator, and Senior Pastor roles. Having become proficient in Information Technology, he then chose to work in that field, finally retiring in 2016.

In addition to spending time with his family and grandchildren, Bob also enjoyed music, motorcycling, sports, and computers. He was a lifelong learner, a relentless sense of humor, deeply compassionate and generous as he displayed in being co-caregiver with Gloria for his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Evelyn Lee for two years.

Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday January 17th at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Paul Kraker presiding. Burial will take place in Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.

The Luzier family extends an invitation to join them later that evening at Common Ground Church – 4356 Center Road in Brunswick, Ohio to enjoy an informal, live musical tribute to Bob beginning at 7:00 p.m.
