Ellen (Dooling) Robbin, 72

Ellen spent most of her adult life in Lorain until she moved to Columbus in 2016. She taught at Lorain Catholic High School and was the former director of the Lorain Business College. She was co-founder of the Charleston Village Society, Lorain. She retired in 2014 after her a career in business, most recently as an Executive Assistant in the Leasing group with the Westfield Company in Cleveland.
Over her life, Ellen had many passions and hobbies. As a child, she learned to play piano and became the lead church organist at St. Mary’s in Dennison. She enjoyed baking, watching movies, painting ceramics, playing games, and camping. Ellen loved animals and for many years fostered several dogs as an active volunteer for FIDO’s Companion Rescue, Inc. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and after retiring, she most enjoyed watching her grandson, Graham, play sports.
Ellen is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Richard, her children Terah (Brad) Webb, Jeremy (Vanessa Stevens) Robbin, Michael (Emily Morrison) Robbin, and three grandchildren, Graham Webb, Henry Robbin, and Noa Robbin. She is survived by her siblings Adele Dooling, Jack (Sally) Dooling, and Patty (Mark) Smallsreed, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. In honor of Ellen’s life and memory, her family invites you to donate to the American Cancer Society or your local animal rescue.
