Mildred L. Friend, 86, Enjoyed Bowling and Fishing

She was born in Rainelle, West Virginia on November 11, 1936 and was a graduate of Rainelle High School. Mildred had been a resident of Ohio since 1974.
She formerly attended Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
Mildred was a member of the Lorain Senior Center and enjoyed bowling in the Senior Bowling League. In her free time she was passionate about fishing and enjoyed travel and camping.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2013, parents Charles and Luna (nee Spencer) Skidmore, and brothers Charles (in infancy), Raymond, Paul, Dennis and Roy.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 26th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Alyssa Rivera-Hodge, Associate Pastor of the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
