Rose M. Drozdowski, 70, Avid Reader and a Lover of Dogs

Rose was born in Lorain on February 3, 1953 and had been a resident of Ohio for the majority of her life.
She was a 1971 graduate of Admiral King High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from Kent State University.
Rose had been employed for fifteen years as a furniture refinisher for Time and Again Renovations, a business owned by her sister and brother-in-law. Previously, she worked as a Home School Liaison for the Lorain City School District as well as a clinician at St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center.
A parishioner of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain, Rose was regarded as a social butterfly by those who knew her best. She was a member of the American Slovak Club as well as the Amvets Post # 47 Auxiliary. In her free time she was an avid reader and a lover of dogs. Additional interests included gardening and listening to country and classic rock genres of music on her extensive collection of vinyl records.
Undeniably, Rose’s favorite moments came when spending time with her granddaughter, Alexa, and pet dog Myles.
Survivors include daughters Sara Drozdowski (Chris New) and Lisa Drozdowski (Matt Schnaak), granddaughter Alexa New, lifetime partner Edward Skip Drozdowski, and sister Martha Ralston (William).
Rose was preceded in death by her father Stephen Nagy, mother Rose B. Nagy (nee Czipa), and brother Robert J. Nagy, killed in action during the Vietnam War.
