Beverly A. Shawver-Post, 85, Dedicated Homemaker
Beverly A. Shawver-Post (nee Bennett), age 85, of Sheffield Lake, passed away at the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital on the afternoon of Friday May 19, 2023 following a brief illness.
Beverly was born in Lorain on February 15, 1938 and had been a resident of Sheffield Lake for the past thirty-five years.
She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed flowers, being outdoors, watching birds, and hunting for antiques in her free time. Bev also enjoyed cooking and was known for the salads that she frequently brought to dinners and cookouts.
She leaves her son Jeffrey Shawver of Elyria, and daughter Kimberly D. Fox (Chuck) of Vermilion. Additional survivors include grandchildren Kelly, Cory, Linzi, Kaylee, and Katiy, and great granddaughter Jessica.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Post, Jr. in 2015, daughter Cynthia Louise Shawver in 2009, father Roy Bennett, and mother Viola Bennett.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 24th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Please join her family at Elmwood Cemetery for graveside services at 1:30 p.m. on Friday May 26th. Reverend Jeffrey Phail, Senior Pastor of the Christian Heritage Church in Avon will officiate.
