Dorothy G. Rebman, 92, Devoted Homemaker

Dorothy was born in Lorain on November 24, 1930 and had been a life-long resident of Lorain County; she was a graduate of Lorain High School and a member of the Starlite’s Social Club there.
Dorothy was a devoted homemaker and longtime member of the former First Presbyterian Church of Lorain. She had also been active as an advisor and volunteer with several equine 4-H chapters including the Bit and Spurs and Elyria Wranglers.
She was accomplished in the art of needlecraft and possessed a love for flower gardening. Dorothy was equally passionate about fishing and always welcomed the opportunity to wet a line at the family’s seasonal cottage at Holiday Lakes in Willard. In addition, she enjoyed following sports and, especially, Clearview High School athletics.
She leaves her sons Kenneth Rebman (Diana) and Gene Rebman (Leslie) along with daughters Sandra Rohner (James) and Tammy Szalay (John). Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and brother Harold Dunfee (Virginia).
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Gene Rebman in 2010, parents Roland C. and Gertrude F. Dunfee, brothers Chuck and Harvey Dunfee, and sisters Arlene Perritt and Melva Martinez.
Friends may call Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be observed privately for the family in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
