Marcia Ann Reidy, 71, Enjoyed Family Visits During Holidays

Marcia was born in Lorain October 25, 1952, to Edward P. and Geraldine M. (nee Boedecker) Reidy She was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church, Lorain.

Marcia always got along with her siblings due to her good-humored nature. When Marcia's older sister Mary Pat married brother-in-law Bob, Marcia always made an effort to visit them at Shaker Square with her cousin Joan. Marcia enjoyed family visits during the holidays and accompanying her sister and brother-in-law on long walks with the family dogs.

Years later, Marcia loved her 24th floor penthouse at the Winton Place that she shared with her brother Eddy. She called it Buckingham Palace. After Eddy passed away, Marcia moved to The Gardens of French Creek at Avon Oaks. She enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkeys from her window.

Marcia loved collecting pictures of family members, and had a hobby of collecting family history. She was always very thoughtful and generous to those that she loved. She had a gentle nature, and always treated others with kindness.

Her family and those that knew her will always remember her happiest moments and her soft demeanor.

Marcia is survived by her sister Mary Pat (Bob) Mayer of Mystic, Connecticut. She was also cousin to Joan Reidy of Lorain, Richard Reidy of Lorain, and Judy Reidy Flynn of Avon.

Other than her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her brother Edward P. Reidy III.

Her family will receive friends at St. Mary Catholic Church, 310 8th Street, Lorain from 9 until 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Rev. Father Daniel O. Divis, Pastor officiating. Her burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
