Sally Ann Mason, 87, Enjoyed Cake Decorating and Ceramics
Sally Ann Mason (nee Barnicle), age 87, of Lorain, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024 following a short illness.She was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on May 19, 1938, the only daughter of the late Charles and Irene (nee Dunnigan) Barnicle.
Sally was a 1954 graduate of Lorain St. Mary’s High School where she served as Vice President of her Senior Class, as well as a varsity cheerleader and a member of the Co-Etts.
She was formerly employed as a graphic designer for both the Lorain Journal and Elyria Chronicle Telegram.
In her free time Sally enjoyed a variety of hobbies including cake decorating, ceramics, league bowling, and camping. In addition, she served as a volunteer with the St. Mary’s Food Pantry.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Richard, in 2020, as well as brothers Daniel, Donald, Richard, James, Joseph, and Michael.
She is survived by daughters Linda Marie West (Michael) of Vermilion, Kathleen Marie Kramer of Sheffield Village, Sharon Marie Cook (Christopher) of Lorain, and Michelle Marie Cagle residing in Oklahoma. Additional survivors include eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Sally and Richard will be re-united during private graveside services conducted at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Friday June 7, 2024.
