Alan W. Bolin, 67, Devoted Grandfather
Alan W. Bolin, age 67, of Lorain, passed away at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center on the evening of Monday February 5, 2024 following a brief illness.
He was born in Lorain on September 5, 1956 and remained a life-long resident of the city.
Alan’s world revolved around the eight grandchildren who meant everything to him. When not involved with them, he enjoyed fishing and automobiles.
He is survived by Rhonda Bolin (nee Lallathin), son Charles Bolin (Carrie) of Lorain and daughter Lisa Edgell (Kevin) of Amherst. Alan also leaves grandchildren Briannah, Brooke, Daylin, Charles “C.J.”, Kevin, Lahna, Savannah, and Logan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin E. and Margaret (nee Dobias) Bolin, brother, Charles, and one sister.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.
