Clarence R. Finney, 79, U.S. Air Force Veteran

Photo of Clarence R. Finney Clarence R. �Bob� Finney, age 79, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.

He was born on May 5, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan where he grew up. He has been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He worked as a Millwright at the Ford Motor Company Avon Lake assembly plant, where he had worked for 35 years, retiring in 2006. Bob had formerly worked for ALCOA. He was also a member of UAW local 2000 and St. Peter Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed going to casinos, reading history books, and spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret �Maggie� (nee Diederich); daughters Jackie Heck of Garfield Heights and Angela Finney of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Jordan and Julia Heck; brothers John Finney of Spokane, WA, Michael (Cathy) Finney of MI, James Finney of MI, Richard Finney of MI; and sister Joanie (Chris Razor) of MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret F. (nee Roza) and Clarence R. Finney; sister Mary Barchock; and son in law Keith Heck.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM Wednesday until 11 AM Mass at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Robert Franco, Pastor will be the celebrant. Mass will be livestream at www.stpeternr.org. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
