William K. Ferguson, 87, Avid Golfer

He was born on December 26, 1936, in Fremont, Nebraska and has been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1978, moving from Chicago and San Francisco. Bill worked as an office manager for Union Carbide and Eveready for 37 years, retiring in 1998. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of Fields United Methodist Church in North Ridgeville, since 1978.

Bill was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing, biking, and meeting for breakfast with close friends. His greatest joys were found in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and watching the Cornhuskers play.

He is survived by his wife Carol A. (nee Egdorf); children Brett (Amy) Ferguson of Alpharetta, GA, Julie (Louis) Quintana of North Ridgeville and Mark (Sheila) Ferguson of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Haley, Leah, Erin, Jack, William, Amanda, Jillian, Brian, Lauren, Tyler and Chase; 11 great grandchildren; sister Sandra Kershaw of Duluth, MN.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Maxine (nee Burt) and Harold D. Ferguson; and infant brother Harold Ferguson.

The Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 5-7 PM. Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday at Fields United Methodist Church, 34077 Lorain Rd., N. Ridgeville. Pastor Sondra Snode will officiate. Interment with Full Military Honors by VFW Post 9871 will follow in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
