Judith Drop, 77, Will Be Dearly Missed
Judith Judy Drop (nee Goldyn), 77, of Lorain, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday February 6, 2025.She was born September 13, 1947 in Cleveland to Anthony & Lois Goldyn (nee Weiss). She grew up in Cleveland and had lived most of her life in Lorain.
Judy graduated in the first graduating class at Admiral King High School in Lorain. She attended Lorain County Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Accounting. Judy worked as a tax preparer at H&R Block and had also worked at PC Campana.
She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain and the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain. Her family was most important to her and she went out of her way to love and support her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert Drop, children: Christine Smith (George) and Brian Drop (Jennifer); grandchildren: Valerie Facemire (Mark Robison), Kylie Facemire (Brad Randolph), Abigail Smith, Katelyn Drop & Jason Drop; great grandchildren: Myles, Samuel & Sadie Randolph and Rowan & Mark Robison IV, brother James Goldyn (Helen) and sisters: Kathleen George (Bill), Debra Anderson (Andy) and Marianne Goldyn and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends Wednesday February 12, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W 15th St, Lorain. The Rev Craig Hovanec, pastor, will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations for a mass in Judy’s memory.
