Anita Trbovich, 87, A Selfless and Giving Person

Photo of Anita Trbovich Anita Trbovich, age 87, lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away on the evening of Monday March 3, 2025.

Anita was a selfless person, who over the years cared for multiple family members while first battling ovarian cancer and then breast cancer, herself. To say that she was a giving person would be an understatement.

She was generous and always showed an interest in others. Everyone who met Anita said that she was the nicest person. In her youth she traveled extensively with her sister, Helen. She had been employed as a legal secretary and then, following her graduation from Kent State University, worked as a teacher and placement director.

Anita was an avid reader who also enjoyed baking and flower gardening. She was a life-long member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Lorain.

She was predeceased by her parents John “Kojo” and Mildred “Milka” (nee Stipanovich) Trbovich along with her brothers Nick, Mike and George Trbovich and sister Smilla “Millie” Matich (George).

She is survived by her sister Helen Trbovich, sister-in-law Mary Ann Trbovich, nieces Melanie Walsh (George) and Saundra Veseleny (Mark), as well as great nephews and great nieces and great great nephews and great great nieces.

Private funeral services were conducted in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel with Reverend Nektarije Tesanovic, Pastor of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church presiding with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery.
