Raymond J. Kosakowski, U.S. Army Veteran

Born in Lorain, he graduated from Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1965.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having been stationed in Germany, where he fulfilled duty assignments as a SP4 heavy vehicle operator attached to the 342nd Transportation Company.

Ray worked in the automobile industry for a number of years as well as light manufacturing prior to retirement.

He is survived by his daughter Shelley (husband David), granddaughter Ashlen, grandsons Baylen and Cullen, and sister Sandy Cook (husband Kim).

He was preceded in death by his father John, mother Helen, and brother Dennis.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 18th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by Amvets Post # 32 of Elyria.
