Kenneth J. Koscho, 74, Loved Sports

He was born March 25, 1951 in Lorain to John "KJ" Koscho and Waldreen "Pudgie" Koscho (nee Mroski) and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Ken graduated from Admiral King High School in 1969 and attended Bowling Green State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1973.

Ken spent decades of his career in public service for the city of Lorain. In later years, he worked in car sales at Liberty Ford in Vermilion and Mike Bass Ford in Sheffield Village.

He was a member of both the Polish American Citizens Club and United Polish Club in Lorain where he played softball for each club's teams. Ken loved sports, especially Cleveland teams, and he particularly loved the game of baseball. He was passionate about collecting baseball cards and he was a walking encyclopedia when it came to knowledge of the game. He was a big fan of The Ohio State University football and his Bowling Green State University Falcons. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Lorain.

Ken was an avid reader and lover of both music and American history. In 1978, he was a two-time winner on the television game show Jeopardy. Kenny was well known for his sense of humor and his genuine ability to connect with everyone; he never met a stranger. Above all, his family was the most important thing to him, and he loved them with all his heart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Pam Koscho (nee Terschak), children: Elizabeth Koscho of Avon, Brian Koscho (Sherri) of Athens, OH and David Koscho (Laura) of Fairfax, VA; granddaughter Scarlett Koscho, sister Nancy Wryst (Michael) of Amherst, sister-in-law Jean Koscho of Lorain and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John "Jack" Koscho.

The family will receive friends Sunday June 1, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday June 2, 2025 at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Mary Catholic Church, 310 8" St, Lorain. The Rev Daniel Divis, pastor, will preside. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
