Dawn L. Green, 66, Enjoyed Spending Time with Family

Born in Shirley, Massachusetts on June 12, 1959, she had been a resident of Lorain since 1961; Dawn was a 1977 graduate of Lorain High School.

She began her working career as a health aide for Sprenger Enterprises at the Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain. She then transitioned into waitressing where she served patrons at a variety of area restaurants including Antigone’s, Arpart’s, Chris’ Family Restaurant, and Sal's and Al's Diner. Most recently she had worked in customer service for the Convenient Food Mart formerly located on Leavitt Road in Amherst.

Dawn regarded her family as the most important element in her life and she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Those who knew her best appreciated the fact that she pulled no punches and always spoke her mind. She possessed a love for all small animals, especially dogs, and was well known for her ever present willingness to party and partake in an adult beverage or share a smoke with her circle of friends and acquaintances.

She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Hembree (Michael Brown) and son Jeffrey Yenni (Patricia) both of Lorain. Additional survivors include grandchildren Austin and Alyjah Rivera, Matthew Messer, Jr. (Diana), Alexis and Jayden Yenni, great granddaughter Lillian Messer and two soon-to-arrive additional great grandchildren. She also leaves sisters Deborah Kulick of Elyria and Denise Kulick of Lorain.

Dawn was receded in death by her father Phillip G. Kulick, mother Sandra J. Kulick (nee Williams), and brother Dale Kulick.

Visitation will take place on Friday in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel -3224 Broadway, Lorain of Friday August 1st from 4:00 p.m. until the time of her memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Reverend Juan Laredo will officiate.
