Robert C. Minnich, 66, Avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan
Robert C. Minnich, 66, of Lorain, died Friday August 29, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 22, 1959 in Lorain to John Jack & Betty Minnich (nee Kiser) and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain.
Bob graduated from Admiral King High School in Lorain. He was working in maintenance for GDI Integrated Facility Services at the Ford Engine Plant in Brook Park. Prior to that, he worked as a mechanic at Ed Mullinax Ford in Amherst.
Bob was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and clothing and was a member of AMVETS Post #47 in Lorain.
He is survived by his niece Mandy Molina (Fernando) of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; cousin Danielle Pintur of Lorain; great niece Yecelena Lopez (Mark Cummings) of Lorain; great nephew Adrian Lopez (Amanda Maggio) of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; great niece Alicia Vazquez (Hudson Wise) of Holly Springs, North Carolina and great great nephew Elijah Cummings. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jacqueline Minnich, brother Dennis Minnich and cousin Sharon Pintur.
The family will receive friends Tuesday September 2, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Cremation will follow and his ashes will be interred on Thursday September 4, 2025 at 11:00 am at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N Ridge Rd, Amherst Township.
