Michael S. Bansek, 65, Enjoyed Collecting Wine

He was born February 19, 1960 in Lorain, Ohio to Edward & Dolores Bansek (nee Trebonik) and had resided in Colorado most of his life.

Mike graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1978 and from the University of Toledo. He was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant for Bansek & Co in Englewood, Colorado for 42 years.

Mike enjoyed collecting wine, playing golf, baseball, grilling, educating himself on political issues and playing with his dog Duke. He was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Buena Vista, Colorado, the AICPA and various patriotic groups.

He is survived by his son Blake Bansek of Cleveland, mother Dolores Bansek (nee Trebonik) of Lorain, brothers: Edward Bansek (Paula) and Joseph and Jeffrey Bansek all of Lorain; John Bansek (Tracy) of Amherst and James Bansek (Natalie) of Avon; sisters Donna Baxter (Dave) and Kathleen Bansek (Russ), all of Lorain, Cynthia Bredel (Walter) of Wellington and Christine Bansek (Brendan) of Cleveland; uncle Stephen Bansek (Lollie) of Lorain, 15 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Edward Bansek, sisters Geralyn Bansek and Dolores Alfred, grandparents Rudy Trebonik, Helen Czuba, Edward A. Bansek and Theresa Anderson, aunts Joni (Roy) Shaffer and Jeanette Vick.

The family will receive friends Tuesday November 18, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 19, 2025 at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev Craig Hovanec, pastor of St Peter Parish, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
