Frank A. Masin, 87, U.S. Army Veteran
Frank A. Masin, age 87, of North Royalton, and formerly of Lorain, passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday November 2, 2025 following a brief illness.Frank was born in Lorain on March 3, 1938 and was a graduate of Clearview High School where he was a varsity letterman on the Clipper football and track teams.
A veteran of the United States Army, Frank joined Household Finance shortly after his discharge. He spent more than a quarter of a century with HFC before retiring as a district manager.
In retirement he wintered in Englewood, Fl. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting.
Regarded as a fabulous father and grandfather, his greatest joy came from remaining relevant in the lives of those who were closest to him.
He is survived by sons Jeff Masin (Lee Anne) of North Canton, Jon Masin (Kelly) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Frank Masin (Amy) residing in Bel Air, Maryland. He also leaves six grandchildren, one great grandson, fiancée Marian Schoening of North Royalton, brother Dave Masin (Lois) of Lorain, and sister Cynthia Tapper of South Amherst.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years Ann (nee Zima), father Frank Masin, mother Theresa Masin (nee Straka), brother William Masin and brother-in-law James Tapper.
Graveside services will be conducted in Calvary Cemetery at 12 noon on Saturday November 15, 2025. Attendees are requested to assemble at the cemetery entrance by 11:50 a.m. to join the procession to the gravesite.
