Cheryl A. Kuhar, 78, Enjoyed Reading, Dancing, and Music
Cheryl A. Sherri Kuhar (nee Lynchosky), 78, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday November 18, 2025 at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland.
She was born on December 10, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to James & Antoinette Lynchosky (nee Barone) and had resided in Elyria since 1967.
During the Vietnam War, Sherri served with the US Army where she met her future husband, Mike Kuhar. After her service, she attended the St Joseph School of Nursing and became a licensed practical nurse. She began her career in nursing at St Joseph Hospital in Lorain and retired from Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon.
She enjoyed reading, dancing, and music and was very artistic. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Lora K Kuhar (Michael Smith) of Lorain and Michael A. Kuhar of Elyria; mother Antoinette Lynchosky, siblings: Mary DelVecchio (Mario) of Michigan, Phyllis Lastriminsky (Joseph), and Jimmy Lynchosky, all of Portland, Oregon, and Teresa Lychosky of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael W. Kuhar in 2022 and her father James Lynchosky.
Cremation will take place, and no services are planned.
Memorial contributions in her name can be made to any veteran’s organization.
