Robert P. Santana, 64, Will Be Dearly Missed

Photo of Robert P. Santana Robert P. “Bobby” Santana, the eldest born child of six to Gladys E. and Manuel A. Santana was received by Our Father God at the age of 64 surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with colon cancer where he fought through immense pain and suffering.

He finally succumbed to the disease on the morning of January 7th ,2026.

Bobby excelled in many sports as a youth and later as an adult playing on numerous men’s softball teams throughout his lengthy successful career. He would later take his skills and prowess to the golf course where he cultivated many relationships and often took golf trips with family and friends. Bobby was a ranking member and League Champion of Tap In Tours golf and deeply involved with the organization for 29 years.

Bobby studied at LCCC and various other small business schools and enjoyed a 41-year career at Rigid Tool Company retiring in January of 2025. He began his career in 1984 as a Latin American Customer Service Representative and later promoted to International Customer Service Manager in 1992. In 2023, he assumed the role as Fulfillment Management and International Operations Specialist. Everyone who worked with Bobby enjoyed his company and would lean heavily on his work knowledge often referring to him as very personable, honest and easy to get along with.

Bobby is survived by his parents Gladys (nee Davila) and Manuel Santana, sister Elizabeth (Vince) Velazquez, brothers Victor (Brooke) Santana, Manny Santana, Richard Santana and Eric Santana and many nieces and nephews. His infectious smile and love for life will be extremely missed by his family and friends who he often referred to as his brothers and sisters. He was an inspiration to many and loved by everyone. He was the life of the party and loved to entertain his friends as a lifetime member of St. Lads where he enjoyed many Cleveland sports and Oakland Raiders games.

The family will receive friends Sunday January 11, 2026 from 3:00-7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Additional visitation will be held Monday January 12, 2026 from 11:00 am until the mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave, Lorain. The Rev Alexander C. Spenik, pastor, will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
