Mitchell R. Milovich, 83, U.S. Army Veteran

Mitchell served honorably in the United States Army. During his life, he was a proud member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Lorain, and later a member of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, a church he was instrumental in helping build in Atlanta.

Mitch worked for many years for Baker Material Handling, a forklift manufacturer originally located in Cleveland, Ohio that eventually moved to Summerville, SC. The Milovich family moved away from Lorain, Ohio in 1972, relocating to Atlanta, GA, where Mitch founded Lift Atlanta, Inc, a distributor for Baker (now Linde) forklifts in 1975.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joanne Evelyn Milovich (nee Grills) of Loganville, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Mark and Lorri Milovich of Snellville, GA; brother, Robert Milovich of Lorain, OH; grandsons, Mitchell, Ryan Milovich, Brandon Milovich; GrandDaughter-in-law Sarah Milovich; great grandchildren, Emma, Mitchell, and Rosemary; nieces Annette Milovich and Chris Milovich Lesko, nephews Nick, Bob, and Brian Milovich, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas & Sophie Milovich (nee Maravich) and brother Donald Milovich.

The family will receive friends Saturday April 18, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of the Parastas Service at 11:00 am at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. The Rev. Presbyter Sreten Stanojevic, pastor of St George Serbian Orthodox Church, will preside. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain where AMVETS Post #32 of Elyria will conduct military honors.
