Ronald J. Montagnese Jr., 46, Loved Cooking for Family and Friends

Ron was born in Oberlin, Ohio and was a lifelong resident of Lorain until recently moving to Elyria. He worked as a part puller for Parts Authority for the last five years.

Ron loved spending time with his family and friends and especially loved to cook for them. His family and friends meant the most to him. He particularly enjoyed fishing and listening to music. Ron was a devoted member of Freedom Nation Motorcycle Club.

Ron is survived by his ex-wife and best friend Terri (Joe) of Lorain, his daughter Elizabeth of Lorain, his ex-mother-in-law Janice of Lorain, his father Ronald “Rocco” (Mary) of Amherst, his brother Jesse (Jessica) of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, his sister Melissa (Tim) of Westerville, his Uncle Dan (Dana) of Phoenix, Arizona, his Uncle William “Bill” (Geneva) of Elyria, as well as his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews: Cecilia, Jonah, Lucy, Samuel, Lucas, Logan, Hannah, Merida “Turtle”, Phenix, Rosemary (Josh), Angel “Mo” as well as his cousins: William “Billy” (Chrissy) and Shawn of Elyria.

He was preceded in death by his mother Vickie Jo Hembree (Konicek), his maternal grandmother Deloris Reith “Granny Dot” (Wilson), his maternal grandfather William Konicek, his paternal grandmother Joan Johnson, his paternal grandfather Frank Montagnese, his uncle George Wilson, his stepmother Bonnie Montagnese, his stepfathers James Myrick and Joe Hembree, and his uncle Paul Montagnese.

A celebration of life will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday September 27, 2026 in Nativity BVM Catholic Church – 333 South Lake Street in South Amherst. Burial services will be conducted privately for the family in Calvary Cemetery with Reverend Timothy J. O’Connor presiding.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel.
