Linda Arty, 86, Dedicated, Warm, and Supportive Wife & Mother
Sadly, we must announce the passing on September 14, 2026 of Linda Arty, 86 , of Medina, Ohio. Linda was born in Lorain June 14, 1940, and lived most of her life in South Lorain.
There are no words that can express what Linda has meant to us as a wife and mother. Her dedication, warmth, and support have been there for years, and we have been so lucky and grateful to have her in our lives.
She is survived by Donald, her loving husband of 48 years; sons Keith Baker and Scott Arty (Erica); granddaughters Arianna Arty and Hannah Walton; brother Ronald Taliano (Val); and brother-in-law Charles Greulich; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her cousins on her mom’s side knew her as “ChaChee”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Olga Taliano, father Henry, sister Mary Jane Greulich, and son James Baker.
Linda worked for Standard Oil in Cleveland, and GE Credit. Later on, she worked at Allen Memorial Hospital, and retired from the Lorain County Recorder's Office.
Linda was involved for several years in the 1970's with Cub Scout Pack 350. She was a long-time member of the Lorain County Democratic Women's Club. Don and Linda were active for many years at the former St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Lorain.
Her family will receive friends at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain, Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, with The Holy Rosary at 10:00 am, visitation will continue until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Rev. Father Neil C. Walters, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mother Cabrini’s Cupboard.
