William F. Hoose, 77, World War II Veteran
Willia Floyd Hoose, 77, of Avon Lake passed away Friday, March 30 at Lakewood Hospital, Lakewood following a lengthy illness. He was born February 10, 1924 in Alhambra, California and moved to Avon Lake from Cleveland in 1959. He served in the Navy during World War II at Guadalcanal in the Asiatic-Pacific as an Aviation Ordnanceman, second class. Mr. Hoose was employed as a truck driver for American Express. He attended St. Joseph Church, Avon Lake and was a member of the Edgewater Yacht Club, Cleveland for over forty years, the American Legion Post 211, Avon Lake and the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed sailing, automobiles and motorcycles.
