He was born January 6, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Wooster from Texas where he lived for twenty years. He lives in Avon Lake from 1953-1972. He was a graduate of Parma High School and was employed as a plant manager for Kirby Vacuum Cleaners before retiring in 1984. He was involved in starting the first Boy Scout Troop in Avon Lake and enjoyed woodworking, sailing, camping, and traveling.
